Graves

Graves is a red and white wine appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) located in the Bordeaux region of France. Graves red wines are often elegant, with red fruit aromas and a slightly smoky finish, while white wines are fresh and aromatic, with notes of citrus and white-fleshed fruit. The soils of this region are gravel, a mixture of gravel, pebbles and sand, giving the wines great complexity and finesse.
